The re-opening of the ECC has been a top priority of the staff and Board of Kol Tikvah. With the assistance of numerous volunteers from the Kol Tikvah community, the ECC program and the indoor and outdoor spaces have been refreshed and reimagined to meet CDC health and safety standards and to be inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education.

“We are excited to welcome students back to Kol Tikvah Early Childhood Center. The teachers and I believe it is very important for young children to have the opportunity to play and learn with their peers. That has been one of the great losses of the past 18 months" ECC Director, Paula Hoffman

Our goal is to prepare children with essential life skills to be successful in school and in life

The Children’s Jewish experiences are based upon the joys of celebration and community with hands-on opportunities, including music and songs.

We believe that children are unique and competent by providing intentional learning opportunities for our early learners we encourage them to explore and develop a love of learning.

Our early childhood education program is a developmental play-based program; our program is inspired by the philosophy of the schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy and incorporates core Jewish values, the Outdoor Learning Environment and an emergent curriculum based upon the interests of the children.

Children collaborate with teachers to create daily and long term projects, and expand their academic and social potentials.  We use the Indoor and Outdoor Classroom environment as essential learning tools for many process-based and emergent learning opportunities.

Kol Tikvah Early Childhood Center offers a warm and welcoming community, the preschool welcomes children 2 through 5 years old.

We embrace a child’s natural way of learning and provide an environment that nurtures intellectual, emotional, and social development.
