The mystic’s quest is to connect with God on a purely spiritual level. For mystics, this is accomplished through chanting, prayer, ritual, and meditation. Jewish mystical texts and stories will be taught and discussed. At the end of each session, students will participate in both silent and guided meditations. The goal is to develop an intellectual and spiritual understanding of one’s connection to God. The study of Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism, is not easy but it is rewarding. No prior study or meditation practice required.
