Join Rabbi Jon at the Bernard and Audre Rapoport L’Taken Social Justice Seminars. This fun-filled weekend brings teens in 10th, 11th and 12th grades together from across North America where they converge on Washington, DC for four days of advocacy and action.
Learn how the Reform Movement applies Jewish perspectives to mobilize around issues like reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, climate change, Israel, and health care. Meet new people and reunite with old friends, explore Washington DC, and travel to Capitol Hill to meet with Congress to advocate for the things teens care about.
From February 28-March 3, students from Grades 10-12 may join Jewish teens from around the country for an intense weekend of learning and fun. Teens learn about the complexities of the legislative process, how teens can impact legislative agendas, and even have time to explore the District of Columbia! The weekend culminates with each participant delivering a personally written speech in the offices of their House Representative or one of our California Senators.
Trip costs are approximately $1,400 per participant.
