Meditation, Yizkor, Neilah, and Havdallah

5:15 p.m.  Neilah & Havdalah Service  Join Rabbi Jon Hanish, Cantor Noa Shaashua, and Erev Rav Sam Klein as the sun sets and  Yom Kippur concludes. You will have a chance to say a final confessional and to think about how you will do better in the upcoming year. After the Neilah service concludes, there will be a Havdalah service (which concludes both Shabbat and High Holy Days)

4:45 p.m.  Yizkor Service  The Yizkor service allows every congregant and Jew to remember (yizkor). We come together to remember those who are no longer present on earth and all they gave us while we were still physically together. In addition to Rabbi Jon and Cantor Noa, community members will be sharing poems they have written about their experiences of loss. Come and remember….

4:15 p.m.  Meditation & Reflection  Join Rabbi Jon and Cantor Noa for thirty minutes of reflection. From music that will move your heart to guided imagery and breathing exercises, you will be giving yourself the gift of preparing your body and soul for the KT Yizkor service. Lift your soul to a new level by participating.

3:30 p.m.  Afternoon Service featuring t Vanessa Cate Jonathan Freund

During the afternoon service, actor/director Vanessa Cate will perform a reading of the Book of Jonah. Come and hear they share Jonah in a manner that will touch your heart and soul. Afterwards, Master Educator Jonathan Freund will share his thoughts on this haftorah portion.

Monday, September 28, 2020 9:30 a.m.

Join Rabbi Jon Hanish, Cantor Noa Shaashua, Erev Rav Sam Klein, and the Kol Tikvah Choir as we participate as a community in Yom Kippur Morning Services. From familiar melodies to reflective prayers and readings, you will be able to fully immerse yourself in our service. Rabbi Jon’s sermon is titled, “Awe in Days of Isolation.” It examines how we need to be in awe of all the miracles that surround, which seems so difficult to accomplish during these challenging times.
