The Kol Tikvah choir brings together congregants of all ages to sing and rejoice in sacred music at our High Holy Day or Special Services. We combine the beauty of traditional liturgical melodies with contemporary compositions to create a soulful, accessible, and joyous musical experience for our whole congregation.

OUR TEMPLE BAND,  KOLPLAY

Kolplay was born out of our community’s love for music, our congregation’s talent, and our strong desire to bring new life and energy to Shabbat service music.  While several of our Kolplay members play in their own bands, their passion for and commitment to creating a “Rock Shabbat” experience that’s both spiritually uplifting and a rockin’ good time draws them together here at Kol Tikvah for special Shabbat and Holiday services throughout the year.

Our “Rock Shabbats” may not be what your Bubbe or Savta was used to but even she’ll be up on her feet grooving to punk and reggae versions of Kabbalat Shabbat right along with our traditional Shabbat melodies.
